Collin County Clerk Administrative Secretary Position is assigned to the Jack Hatchell Administration Building, McKinney Texas Reports to: Office Coordinator Salary: $41,018 The Collin County Clerk is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill the position of Administrative Secretary. This position is required to attend meetings of the Commissioners Court including budget and legislative workshops, and must record and annotate meeting proceedings with high accuracy and strong attention to detail. Duties include managing Court Registry accounts by processing court orders as received, creating a case file for the account, investing funds, managing invested accounts, processing payouts, balancing accounts, maintaining daily cash journal, creating and maintaining end of month reports, and reconciliation of monthly bank statements and Odyssey Financial Manager. Responsibilities also include verifying receipt of TABC payments; processing Personal Financial Statements; maintaining procedures for court registry; monitoring and responding to communications received in the email inboxes for the County Clerk, Genealogy Corner and Vital Statistics and providing administrative support to the County Clerk and Chief Deputy by writing correspondence, creating presentations, and managing travel arrangements. This position is required to establish and maintain effective, positive relationships with the County Judge and Commissioners Court, Elected Officials, Department Heads, financial institutions and other departments within the county. Requirements Work requires strong knowledge of software applications including MS Windows 10 and MS Office 2016, Excel 2016 and higher. This position requires advanced written communication skills. Must demonstrate ability to perform duties with high accuracy and strong attention to detail. The candidate that fills this position must have ability to read and understand legal documents, local and state codes and the legislation that governs County Clerk duties. Advanced skills in Excel, Power Point and Photoshop, and social media management highly preferred. A typing test with a score of 50 words per minutes or higher is required. This position requires that you pass a typing test at the minimum rate specified above. - If you have taken a typing test with us within the last 6 months that meets or exceeds the requirements above, you do not need to take it again. - If you have never taken our typing test, have not met the requirements above, or it has been more than 6 months since your last test, you will need to take the test in order for your application to be complete. Typing tests are administered in the Human Resources Testing room from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday through Friday.
